    The Unsolved Murder Of Tammy Zywicki

    Tammy Zywicki left for college located in Grinnell, Iowa from Evanston, Illinois, on August 23.1992. She was supposed to arrive that evening. Zywicki's car was found abandoned later that day by an Illinois State Trooper . The Illinois State Police towed the vehicle on Aug 24, 1992. Zywicki's mother reported that her Daughter had not arrived at college to the Illinois State Police later that same evening.

    On September 1st 1992, Zywicki's body was found near Interstate Highway 44 (I-44) in Lawrence County, Missouri, which is between Springfield and Joplin, Missouri. She had been stabbed to death. Zywicki was reportedly last seen with her vehicle near mile marker 83 in Central Illinois, between 3:10 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on August 23, 1992. During this period, a tractor/trailer was seen near Zywicki's. The driver of the tractor/trailer is described as a white male with dark, bushy hair who is over six feet tall, and is between the ages of 35 and 40. Some of the victim's personal property is known to be missing, including a musical wrist watch with an umbrella on the face and a Cannon 35mm camera. Her case remains unsolved and the identity of her murderer remains a mystery.
